Abstract

An examination of gender dynamics in Iraq provides insight into the country's struggles to close the gender gap and the widening gap between men and women in several professions. In order to reach this goal, we may make use of the minimal data that is currently available on gender gaps in specific areas like health, political involvement, and educational attainment. The gender gap is growing due to a combination of factors, including an absence of information and resources as well as an absence of opportunities. This research looks into the gender gap in Iraq in particular as it relates to economic productivity, educational attainment, and political engagement. Many different types of government institutions, as well as foreign and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) focused on development, provided us with data for this study. Various tactics and policies can be incentivized to address gender issues based on the findings of a gender assessment. Government education funding should prioritize gender equality while simultaneously identifying locations with a larger gender gap. The government's investment in rural women's education and political engagement would yield substantial and positive results.
